Fludrocortisone

Addison’s disease: start at 0.1 mg PO daily.  Range: 0.1 mg 3x weekly to 0.2 mg daily. Administer with cortisone (10-37.5 mg daily) or hydrocortisone (10-30 mg daily).

Salt-losing adrenogenital syndrome (or congenital adrenal hyperplasia): Oral: 0.1-0.2 mg daily

Subarachnoid hemorrhage:  fludrocortisone 0.2mg BID x 12 days [to prevent volume depletion and DCI]
